Terramycin - Pahc

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

A broad-spectrum antibiotic for medicating drinking water to control and prevent diseases associated with oxytetracycline sensitive organisms in poultry, pigs and cattle.

Any variation by the prescribing veterinarian to the approved dose, frequency, duration, route, disease or target species may require extending the approved withholding period.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Cattle and Pigs
Add the indicated amount of Terramycin* 880 Soluble Powder Concentrate to the drinking water or administer as a drench. Fresh solutions should be prepared daily.

N.B. All dosage amounts refer to the level of Terramycin* 880 Soluble Powder Concentrate to be used.

Poultry
Add the indicated amount of Terramycin* 880 Soluble Powder Concentrate to 1000 Litres of drinking water. Fresh solutions should be prepared daily.

N.B. 250g Terramycin* 880 Soluble Powder Concentrate when added to 1000 Litres of water will achieve a dosage of 15-30mg/kg live weight daily in adult birds, and 30-55mg/kg live weight daily in growing birds depending on variations in water consumption winter to summer.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

Pigs: Meat: DO NOT USE less than 4 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Cattle: Meat: DO NOT USE less than 5 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Milk: Milk collected from cows within 72 hours of treatment MUST NOT BE USED or processed for human consumption or fed to bobby calves.
Poultry Meat: DO NOT USE less than 7 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Eggs: DO NOT USE in birds which are producing or may in the future produce eggs or egg products for human consumption.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

Persons with a history of allergies to antibiotics should avoid all contact with this product as it may cause sensitisation. Avoid breathing dust. Wear personal protective equipment including mask. If in contact with skin, gently brush away solids and wash gently and thoroughly with water until chemical is removed. If in eyes, quickly remove particles. If irritation occurs, flush with lukewarm flowing water for 5 minutes or until product is removed. If irritation persists, obtain medical advice. Take special care if wearing contact lenses. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water.

DISPOSAL:

Single rinse or shake remainder into medicated water. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Shred and bury empty bag in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the bag below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, vegetation and roots. Empty bag and product should not be burned.

Store below 30℃ (Room Temperature) in a dry place.
