Nicarbazin Feed Additive

FOR ANIMAL TREATMENT ONLY

Active constituent: NICARBAZIN 1,000 g/kg
For the prevention and control of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria spp in broiler chickens.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

RESTRAINTS: DO NOT USE in birds that are producing or may in the future produce eggs or egg products which may be used or processed for human consumption.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

  • Thoroughly mix 125g of PhiCarb 1000 per tonne of feed to produce a concentration of 125g/t nicarbazin in the finished feed. PhiCarb 1000 musl be thoroughly mixed in the feed to assure even distribution. It is recommended that the required quantity of PhiCarb 1000 is pre-blended with 4-5 kg of ground cereal before adding to the total mix. Feed containing PhiCarb 1000 should be the only ration fed to broiler chickens during treatment. Use continuously for 14 days, or as directed by a veterinarian. Consult a veterinarian for advice relating to coccidia control.

PRECAUTION:

  • Use in birds greater than 28 days of age may increase susceptibility to heat stress.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS:

  • MEAT: REMOVE ALL MEDICATED FEED 1 day before slaughter for human consumption.
  • EGGS: DO NOT USE in birds that are producing or may in the future produce eggs or egg products which may be used or processed for human consumption.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

  • May irritate the eyes and nose and throat. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not inhale dust. When opening the container and mixing wear a disposable dust mask covering mouth and nose if dust is present. Wash hands after use.

DISPOSAL

  • Shake container into medicated feed. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Break, crush, or puncture container and deliver to an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the punctured containers 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state or territory government regulations.
